Drilled PilesDrilled piles (also known as drilled piers) are a kind of pile wall made using the stabilator system. Drilled piles are of high technical quality and are a durable, long lasting solution. They can be assembled quickly and effectively without the need for vibrating or pneumatic machinery.

There are several different kinds of drilled piles which can be used to construct properties. To help you find the right one we have provided the following information on different drilled pile methods.

Rotary Bored Piling

Rotary boring is a method which can be used to create larger diameter piles than other piling methods. Rotary piling can also be used through tough strata. Depending on the natural features of a worksite different rotary boring techniques can be used.

Under Reamed Piles

Drilled PilesUnder reamed piles are extremely durable constructions which can support high load bearing capacities. This as they have mechanically assembled enlarged bases which come in a variety of sizes up to just over 6cm in diameter.

Under reamed piles are formed in inverted cone shapes with a sloping surface set at 55° horizontally. Under reamed piles are more limited than other piling methods as they can only be used in firm soils.

Auger Cast Piles

Auger cast piles are a versatile solution for most construction sites. They cause very little noise pollution while the pile is being formed which makes them well suited for residential or industrial sites. They are also a versatile solution to use with bearing piles and excavation support.

Auger Cast Piles don’t require any form of casing and are formed by drilling through the ground using a flight auger. When the correct depth is reached a concrete mixture is pumped down the auger. As the concrete is being poured the auger is slowly removed leaving a solid column of concrete up to ground level.
